Queue, repeat and shuffle
When you add several songs, they line up in order. This page covers how to check and change that order: reading the queue screen, the three repeat modes, shuffling and going back, and what you need the web dashboard for.
Viewing the queue
The /대기열 (queue) command and the 📜 button on the controller card open exactly the same screen. Both are visible only to you.
The screen is laid out like this.
| Position | Content |
|---|---|
| Top | 1/1 페이지 · 총 N곡 ("Page 1/1 · N songs in total") |
| Now playing | The current song's title, length, artist and album art |
| Up next | The waiting songs, listed with numbers |
| Bottom | 외 N곡 ("N more") if some songs didn't fit in the list |
If the queue is empty, you only see 대기열이 비어 있어요 ("The queue is empty").
총 N곡 includes the song playing now. One song playing plus 3 waiting shows as 총 4곡 (4 songs in total).
Only the first 10 songs are shown
The up-next list shows up to 10 songs. From the 11th on, titles aren't shown. Only the count is added at the bottom, like 외 37곡 ("37 more").
NOTE
It says 1/1 페이지 at the top, but turning pages isn't supported right now Not supported. To see the titles from the 11th song on, view the full list in the web dashboard. See Managing the queue in the dashboard. If you only need to know how many songs are left, 총 N곡 is accurate, so this screen is enough.
Adding songs to the queue
| What you want | How |
|---|---|
| Add to the end | /재생 (play) |
| Slot in right after the current song | /다음재생 (play next) |
| Look at the results and pick | /검색 (search) |
| Add a whole playlist | A YouTube playlist link in /재생 |
How to add songs is covered in more detail in Searching and choosing a source.
Repeat
Change it with /반복 모드: ... (/반복 (repeat) with the 모드 (mode) option). There are three choices.
| Mode | What it does |
|---|---|
꺼짐 (off) | No repeat. Playback stops when the queue ends |
현재 곡 (current song) | Keeps repeating only the song playing now |
대기열 (queue) | After going through the queue once, starts again from the top |
When you change it, you get a confirmation like 🔁 반복 모드가 현재 곡(으)로 변경되었어요 ("Repeat mode changed to current song"). By default, it needs the DJ role.
NOTE
You can see the current mode in the "반복" (repeat) field of /현재곡 (now playing) or /정보 (info). The value shown there isn't Korean. It's off, track or queue, which correspond to 꺼짐, 현재 곡 and 대기열.
Shuffle
/섞기 (shuffle) changes only the order of the waiting songs. The song playing now isn't affected and plays through to the end. When it works, you get ✅ 대기열을 섞었어요 ("Shuffled the queue"). By default, it needs the DJ role.
CAUTION
Shuffling can't be undone. There's no "undo shuffle." If you've queued an album or playlist where order matters, double-check before you shuffle. The only way back to the original order is to clear the queue with /정지 (stop) and add the playlist link again.
Going back to a previous song
To go back to a song that already played, use the ⏮️ button on the controller card. You can't do this with a slash command.
- History keeps up to 25 songs. Anything older is gone, and you can't go back to it.
- If there's no history at all, pressing it gives you
❌ 이전 곡이 없어요("There's no previous song"). - By default, the person who added that song or a DJ can use it.
- When the bot restarts, the previous-song history is lost. The queue is restored, but the list of songs already played isn't kept.
Clearing the queue
/정지 stops playback and clears the whole queue. There's no separate command just for clearing.
CAUTION
/정지 and the red ⏹️ button on the controller delete every song you've lined up in the queue. It runs immediately without a confirmation window, and there's no way to undo it. If you just want to stop for a moment, use /일시정지 (pause) or the ⏸️ button. The queue stays as it is.
The queue survives a bot restart
When the bot comes back on, it loads the saved queue, returns to the original voice channel and resumes playback. The volume and repeat mode come back too, and it plays on from roughly where it was cut off.
- What comes back is the current song and the waiting songs. The previous-song history doesn't come back.
- A queue that's been sitting for a long time isn't restored.
- For a few seconds right after restoring, it's still lining up the playback position, so the progress bar may jump.
Edit the queue in the web dashboard
Reordering, removing specific songs, jumping to a song in the middle, and seeing songs from the 11th on can't be done with Discord commands. You do them in the web dashboard. How to do it and what to watch for are in Managing the queue in the dashboard.
Skipping a song itself can be done right in Discord with /스킵 (skip) or the ⏭️ button on the controller.
