Turning on Premium (sub-bots): /admin
Yeonhee's "Premium" is a server-level setting. When it's on, a sub-bot is assigned so that it can play at the same time even if one bot is already using another voice channel on that server.
The only way to change this setting is the /admin slash command, and this command is visible only in the operations team's management server. Regular server admins can't turn Premium on from the dashboard.
NOTE
This page covers only the Yeonhee bot's own Premium. It's a separate system from the Yeonhong server membership, so the only way to turn it on and off is the single /admin command below.
Command format
The choices are explained in the table below.)
All three options are required.
| Option | Value | Description |
|---|---|---|
guild_id | Server ID string | The server to apply the setting to |
setting | 프리미엄(서브 봇 사용) (Premium (use sub-bots)) / 볼륨 동기화 (volume sync) | The setting to change |
action | 활성화 (enable) / 비활성화 (disable) / 상태 확인 (check status) | What to do |
The option names are in English and only the choice labels are in Korean. It's normal to see English names in Discord's autocomplete.
Every reply comes back as a message only you can see.
| Run | Reply |
|---|---|
| Premium · check status | 서버 `<ID>` 프리미엄(서브 봇) 상태: 활성화 or 비활성화 ("Server <ID> Premium (sub-bots) status: enabled" or "disabled") |
("Enabled Premium (use sub-bots) for server <ID>.") |
ON or OFF ("Server <ID> volume sync status: ON" or "OFF") |
(메인 봇 볼륨을 모든 봇이 따라가요) ("Set volume sync to ON. (All bots follow the main bot's volume)") |
(봇마다 볼륨을 따로 저장해요) ("Set volume sync to OFF. (Each bot saves its own volume)") |
What volume sync means is covered in Volume policy and volume sync.
Where this command can be used
/admin can be used only in the operations team's management server. If you call it from another server, it's refused with ("This command can only be used in the designated management server.")
WARNING
This command changes settings by pointing directly at a target server. In the management server, we recommend opening Server Settings → Integrations → Yeonhee and limiting the roles that can use /admin to the operator role. You can also limit it by channel, so leaving it usable only in an operators-only channel adds one more layer against mistakes.
After setting this up, type /admin in the management server from a non-operator account and check for yourself that it doesn't appear in autocomplete.
TIP
The most reliable approach is to keep the management server itself as a separate server with as few members as possible.
Check the target server ID yourself
Put the server ID as is into guild_id. The safest way to get it is to right-click the server name in the target server and use Copy Server ID.
WARNING
Even if you enter the wrong server ID, you get a success message. If you enter an ID that doesn't exist, a setting is simply created for that ID, and the reply says "활성화했어요" ("enabled") as normal. After running it, always look up the same ID again with action:상태 확인, and check that a sub-bot actually joins in the target server.
What changes when Premium is on
Playing in several channels of the same server at once
When the main bot is already using another voice channel on that server and Premium is on, a sub-bot is assigned. If Premium is off, a playback request from a second channel is refused.
Requests from a voice channel that some bot already holds are handled by that bot as usual, regardless of Premium. Premium is needed only when one more bot has to join a new channel.
Unlocking sub-bot channel settings in the dashboard
In the per-bot controller channel rows on the settings screen, the sub-bot rows are unlocked. For details, see Pinning and combining the controller message channel.
When Premium is on but no sub-bot joins
If action:상태 확인 shows enabled but playback is still refused in a second channel, check the following in order.
- Whether you entered the server ID correctly. Copy the server ID again from the target server and look it up with
action:상태 확인. - Whether the sub-bots are already using other channels on that server. The server list in the sidebar shows which voice channel each bot is in. If there are no free bots, none is assigned to a new channel.
- If neither of those is the problem and it keeps being refused, or you get a response timeout error after waiting a while, contact the operations team.
When Premium is turned off
Only new assignments from then on are blocked. Channels where a sub-bot is already playing aren't cut off immediately. They continue until that playback ends.
