Who can use the dashboard
The Yeonhee dashboard has no invite code and no separate account. When you log in with your Discord account, servers that the bot is in and you're in too appear in the list automatically. From there, more conditions are added layer by layer depending on what you want to do.
This page goes through those layers in order. How to set the DJ role and action permissions themselves is covered in The DJ role and per-action permissions.
Four gates
| Step | What's checked | If you don't pass |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Login | Whether you logged in with a Discord account | You go back to the login screen |
| 2. Server access | Whether both the bot and you are in that server | It doesn't appear in the list |
| 3. Settings screen | Whether you have Administrator permission on that server | You don't see the settings menu |
| 4. Playback controls | Permission level + being in a voice channel + being in the same room as the bot | The action is refused |
Hiding buttons on screen is just a convenience. The actual blocking happens once more on the server side.
Step 1: Discord login
When you press the login button, you go to Discord's authorization screen. Yeonhee asks for only two things here: your profile and the list of servers you belong to. It doesn't ask for permissions like reading messages, your email, or joining servers.
Your login lasts 7 days. After 7 days you have to log in again, even if you visited every day.
To log out, use the 로그아웃 (log out) button at the bottom of the user menu that opens when you press your avatar.
TIP
If you used a shared PC, closing the window isn't enough. Even if you close and reopen the browser, you stay logged in. Always press the 로그아웃 button. If you have other tabs with the dashboard open, close them too before logging out.
NOTE
If the login button changes to "OAuth 설정 필요" (OAuth setup needed) and can't be pressed, it's a configuration issue on the bot deployment side. Server admins can't fix it, so contact the bot's operations team.
Step 2: servers in the list
The server list shows only servers the bot is in where you're a member. By default, just being a member of the server lets you open the dashboard. Only changing settings requires Administrator permission.
NOTE
If the bot has been invited to a very large number of servers, a newly invited server may not show on the first screen and then appear after a few refreshes. This is normal, so refresh again after a moment.
If the list is completely empty, you see the "사용 가능한 서버가 없어요" (no servers available) screen. If you just invited the bot, it may not have connected to the server yet, so refresh after a moment.
Step 3: the settings screen is admin-only
The settings screen opens only if you have Administrator permission on that server. Manage Server (ManageGuild) permission alone isn't enough. The server owner can always open it, regardless of permission settings.
If you switch to a server where you aren't an admin while the settings screen is open, the screen automatically goes back to "지금 재생" (now playing).
WARNING
When permissions change on the server, it takes time to show up in the dashboard. Someone you just gave Administrator permission won't see the settings menu yet, and someone whose permission you removed can keep opening the settings screen for a while. To apply it right away, ask that person to log out and log back in.
NOTE
The DJ role is an exception. Giving or removing the DJ role applies right away without logging in again. Only Administrator permission changes need a new login.
Step 4: conditions on playback controls
Even after passing the permission level, you need two more things to control playback from the dashboard.
- You must be in a voice channel in that server. Otherwise:
이 서버의 음성 채널에 들어가 있어야 조작할 수 있어요.("You have to be in a voice channel in this server to control it.") - You must be in the same voice channel as the bot. Otherwise:
봇과 같은 음성 채널에 있어야 조작할 수 있어요.("You have to be in the same voice channel as the bot to control it.")
These two conditions don't apply when you're only viewing the status. But if you're in a different room from the bot, the player looks empty, so it shows "대기 중" (idle) even while playing.
TIP
The DJ 권한 (DJ permission) indicator in the user menu is just for information. It also shows as on for admins. What actually blocks or allows buttons is the values set in The DJ role and per-action permissions. If the connection drops briefly, this indicator may disappear, but that doesn't mean you've lost permission.
Troubleshooting by symptom
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| The login button can't be pressed | Configuration issue on the bot deployment side | Contact the bot's operations team |
| "사용 가능한 서버가 없어요" (no servers available) | The bot isn't in that server | Check the bot invite and refresh |
| You invited it, but it's not in the list | The list check hasn't finished yet | Refresh again after a few seconds |
| No settings menu | You don't have Administrator permission | Check your roles and log in again |
| You were given permission, but settings don't appear | The permission change hasn't been applied yet | Log out and log back in |
administrator permission is required | Tried to save settings without Administrator permission | Log out and log back in |
permission is required | Below the permission level for the action | Give the DJ role or adjust the level |
| Buttons can be pressed but nothing happens | Outside a voice channel, or in a different room from the bot | Move to the channel the bot is in |
| Suddenly back at the login screen | The 7-day login expired | Log in again |
NOTE
The English text in the table above is the error message exactly as shown on screen. When you get a question, ask for the exact text and look it up in the table to find the cause right away.
