Good to know first
- Yeonhong takes all the commands. Other bots such as Yeonha have no commands. Yeonhong hands the reading to a free bot.
- Commands work only in servers. If you run one in a DM, the only reply is
This command can only be used in a server. - Most replies are visible only to you.
/infoand the messages about bots joining and leaving stay in the channel. - Everything is blocked during maintenance. If you see
현재 점검중으로 사용이 어렵습니다. 잠시 후 다시 시도해주세요.(It's under maintenance right now. Please try again in a moment.), try again a little later. - You change server settings in the dashboard. See the 4.0.0 update notes for where the old
/server …and/membership …commands moved.
Command list
The default level is the initial 'available from this level up' value. Each server can change it in the Permissions tab of the dashboard.
| Command | What it does | Default level |
|---|---|---|
/join | Calls a free bot into the voice channel you're in. It reads the text channel where you ran the command. | User |
/leave | Removes the bot from your voice channel. All waiting sentences are cleared too. | User |
/skip [count] | Skips the sentence the bot in your voice channel is reading. Leave count empty to skip 1. | User |
/relay voice_channel message | Reads a message in the voice channel you choose. | Manager |
/bots | Shows where our bots are reading, and lets you add more bots or remove them. | User |
/voice-server [bot] | Shows the voice server a bot uses and moves it to another voice server. Leave bot empty for Yeonhong. | Manager |
/info | Shows the bot's status, such as server count, voice connections and response time, on a card. It stays in the channel. | User |
/user settings | Changes your nickname, pitch, speed and natural voice. You choose your voice in the dashboard. | User |
/settings | Shows links that open [Server settings] and [My settings] in the dashboard. | User |
/translate | Changes 'Translate when reading' for each bot in a voice channel right away, and sets the saved setting and 'Start translating when a bot joins'. One-way translation works too. It's the old /server translate. | Admin |
/setup | Walks through this server's basic settings, from main language to permissions, one step at a time. | Admin |
Anyone can open /settings, but at first only admins can change the dashboard's server settings that the link opens.
Message menu commands
These are commands you pick from 'Apps' after right-clicking a message (on a phone, long-press it). You can't find them with /.
| Command | What it does | Default level |
|---|---|---|
| Translate | Translates that message into your 'Translation language' and shows it only to you. Each person can use it 6 times a minute and 200 times a day. | Anyone, whatever their level |
In Korean Discord it shows as '번역하기', and in Japanese as '翻訳する'.
Same command, different level depending on the target
For /leave, /skip and [Remove] in /bots, the level depends on which bot you're acting on.
| Action | Default level |
|---|---|
| Removing or skipping the bot in your own voice channel | User |
| Removing a bot in another voice channel | Manager |
| Skipping the sentence a bot in another voice channel is reading | Manager |
| Moving a bot from another channel to yours when all bots are busy | Manager |
| Changing the dashboard's server settings | Admin |
| Managing permission levels | Admin (can't be changed) |
Things to know when changing levels
- The levels go Admin > Manager > User > Guest. A higher level can use every command a lower level can.
- The server owner and people with Discord's Administrator permission are always admins.
/voice-servercan only be lowered as far as User, because it affects everyone in that voice channel./setupand the dashboard's server settings can only be lowered as far as Manager.- When 'Separate guests' is on, guests can't use any commands at first. Being a guest doesn't mean the bot won't read your messages.
If your level isn't high enough, a short message like This command is available to Manager and above. appears that only you can see.
Using another language
Command names appear in your Discord language. For example, the command that shows as /스킵 in Korean Discord shows as /skip in English and /スキップ in Japanese. /join and /leave keep their English names in Japanese too.
| Bot's reply | Language |
|---|---|
| Replies, buttons and windows only you can see | Your Discord language |
Results posted for everyone in the channel (the results of /join, /leave and /skip, /info, and so on) | That channel's language — the main language if no language is set for each channel |
In a server whose main language hasn't been set yet, they appear in the Discord language of the person who used the command. See the Language tab for details.
